Introduction to Jaiho Rummy
Jaiho Rummy is a popular online card game that combines skill, strategy, and a bit of luck. Based on the traditional Indian Rummy, it offers an engaging and fast-paced gaming experience where players aim to form valid sets and sequences with the cards they are dealt. The game is played with 2 decks of cards (including jokers) and can be enjoyed by 2 to 6 players.
How to Play Jaiho Rummy
Objective:
Arrange all 13 cards in your hand into valid sets (3 or 4 cards of the same rank but different suits) and sequences (3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit).
At least one pure sequence (without a joker) is mandatory to declare a valid hand.
Gameplay:
Each player is dealt 13 cards, and a random card is selected as the wild joker.
Players take turns picking a card from the closed deck or the open discard pile and then discarding one unwanted card.
Use jokers (printed or wild) to complete impure sequences or sets.
Winning (Declaration):
Once a player forms valid sets/sequences, they can declare their hand.
The other players get one final turn to improve their hands before points are calculated.
The player with zero points wins the round, while others get penalty points based on ungrouped cards.
Scoring:
Face cards (J, Q, K, A) = 10 points each.
Number cards = Face value (e.g., 7♠ = 7 points).
Jokers = 0 points.
