Rummy Lotus – Game Introduction & Rules
Introduction:
Rummy Lotus is a captivating card game that blends strategy, skill, and a touch of luck. Inspired by classic rummy-style games, it challenges players to form winning combinations by melding cards into sets and sequences. With elegant lotus-themed artwork and intuitive gameplay, Rummy Lotus offers both casual fun and competitive depth for 2–6 players.
How to Play Rummy Lotus:
Objective:
Arrange all your cards into valid sets (3–4 cards of the same rank, e.g., 7♥, 7♣, 7♦) or sequences (3+ consecutive cards of the same suit, e.g., 5♠, 6♠, 7♠). The first player to discard all cards by forming valid melds wins!
Setup:
Use a standard 52-card deck (add jokers as wildcards if desired).
Deal 10 cards to each player (7 cards for 3+ players).
Place the remaining deck face-down as the draw pile; flip the top card to start the discard pile.
Gameplay:
Draw a Card: Start your turn by drawing from the draw pile or picking the top discard.
Meld or Lay Off:
Meld: Place valid sets/sequences face-up (e.g., 3♦, 4♦, 5♦ or Q♣, Q♥, Q♠).
Lay Off: Add cards to existing melds (e.g., adding 8♠ to a 6♠–7♠ sequence).
Discard: End your turn by discarding one card face-up.
Winning:
Shout "Lotus!" when you’ve melded all cards (with one final discard). Others tally points for unmelded cards (face cards = 10, Aces = 1, number cards = face value). Lowest score after multiple rounds wins!
Tips:
Prioritize pure sequences (no wildcards) early.
Watch opponents’ discards to guess their strategy.
