With its fast-paced action and emphasis on tactical decision-making, Rummy Tiger is perfect for casual play or competitive gatherings.
How to Play Rummy Tiger
Objective:
Be the first player to discard all your cards by forming valid sets (groups of same-rank cards) and sequences (consecutive cards of the same suit).
Setup:
Use a standard 52-card deck (add jokers as wild cards if desired).
Deal 10 cards to each player (for 2 players) or 7 cards (for 3+ players).
Place the remaining deck face-down as the draw pile; flip the top card to start the discard pile.
Gameplay:
Draw a Card: Begin your turn by drawing from the draw pile or picking the top discard.
Form Melds: Create valid combinations:
Set: 3+ cards of the same rank (e.g., 7♥, 7♣, 7♦).
Sequence: 3+ consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 5♠, 6♠, 7♠).
Discard: End your turn by discarding one card to the pile.
Winning:
Shout "Rummy Tiger!" when you meld all cards (with one final discard). Others tally points for unmelded cards.
Special Rules (Optional):
Wild Cards: Jokers can substitute any card.
Tiger Bonus: Earn extra points for pure sequences (no wild cards).
Tips:
Prioritize sequences early.
Track discards to guess opponents’ plans.
