How to Play Spin Rummy:
Objective:
Be the first player to get rid of all your cards by forming valid sets (groups of the same rank) and runs (consecutive cards of the same suit).
Setup:
Use a standard 52-card deck (add a second deck for 5+ players).
Deal each player 10 cards (7 cards for 2 players).
Place the remaining cards face-down as the draw pile.
Flip the top card to start the discard pile.
Gameplay:
On Your Turn:
Draw: Pick the top card from the draw pile or take the entire discard pile (if it helps your hand).
Lay Down Melds (Optional): Place valid sets/runs (minimum 3 cards) on the table.
Discard: End your turn by discarding one card onto the discard pile.
Spin Rule (Key Twist!):
If a player discards a Spinner Card (pre-decided, e.g., Jokers or a specific rank like 7s), the discard pile "spins"—the next player must pick up the entire discard pile, adding a sudden challenge!
Winning:
The first player to discard their last card (after melding) wins!
Others tally points based on remaining cards (face cards = 10, Aces = 1, number cards = face value).
Tips:
Watch the discard pile closely—grabbing it at the right time can help, but getting stuck with it can backfire!
