How to Play Gogo Rummy
Objective:
Be the first player to arrange all your cards into valid sets (groups of the same rank) or sequences (consecutive cards of the same suit).
Setup:
Played with 2-6 players using a standard 52-card deck (Jokers may be used as wild cards).
Each player gets 13 cards (10 cards for 2 players). The remaining cards form the draw pile, and one card is placed face-up to start the discard pile.
Gameplay:
Draw a Card: On your turn, pick a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile.
Form Melds: Arrange cards into valid sets (e.g., three 7s of different suits) or sequences (e.g., 4-5-6 of Hearts).
Discard: End your turn by discarding one card to the discard pile.
Declare "Rummy": Once all your cards form valid sets/sequences (with one final discard), call "Rummy" to win!
Key Rules:
A pure sequence (no wild cards) is required to declare.
Jokers can substitute any card in impure sequences or sets.
If the draw pile runs out, reshuffle the discard pile (except the top card).
Scoring (Optional):
Face cards = 10 points, number cards = face value, Ace = 1 or 11.
Losing players sum their unmelded cards; the winner gets zero.
