Introduction to Teen Patti (Indian Poker)
Teen Patti, also known as Indian Poker or Flush, is a popular gambling card game widely played in South Asia, especially during festivals like Diwali. The game is a simplified version of poker, blending strategy, luck, and bluffing. Played with a standard 52-card deck (no jokers), it involves 3 to 6 players competing to have the best three-card hand or convincing others to fold.
How to Play Teen Patti (Basic Rules)
1. Setup
Players: 3–6 participants.
Deck: Standard 52-card deck (Ace is high; 2 is low).
Betting: Starts with an agreed ante (minimum bet).
2. Objective
Win chips by having the best three-card hand or making opponents fold through bluffing.
3. Gameplay
Dealing: Each player gets 3 cards face-down.
Betting Rounds:
Blind Play (Optional): Players bet without seeing cards (higher stakes).
Seen Play: Players who’ve seen their cards bet double the blind rate.
Actions: Bet, Call, Raise, or Fold.
Showdown: Remaining players reveal cards; best hand wins the pot.
4. Hand Rankings (Strongest to Weakest)
Trail/Trio (3 identical cards, e.g., 3 Kings).
Pure Sequence/Straight Flush (3 consecutive cards of the same suit, e.g., 5♦-6♦-7♦).
Sequence/Run (3 consecutive cards, mixed suits, e.g., 7♣-8♥-9♠).
Color/Flush (3 cards of the same suit, not in sequence).
Pair (2 identical cards, e.g., Q-Q-3).
High Card (No combination; highest card decides).
5. Special Rules (Optional)
Joker Rule: A random card is chosen as a wild joker.
Muflis: Hands rank in reverse (weakest combination wins).
