How to Play Rummy Nabob
Objective:
The goal is to form valid sets (groups of cards of the same rank but different suits) and sequences (consecutive cards of the same suit) before your opponents.
Gameplay Basics:
Dealing: Each player gets 13 cards (10 cards in some variants). The remaining cards form the closed deck, and one card is placed face-up as the open deck.
Drawing & Discarding:
On your turn, pick a card from either the open deck or the closed deck.
Discard one unwanted card to the open deck.
Forming Sets & Sequences:
Pure Sequence (Mandatory): 3+ consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 4♥-5♥-6♥).
Impure Sequence: A run with a Joker/wild card (e.g., 7♠-8♠-PJoker).
Set: 3-4 cards of the same rank but different suits (e.g., K♦-K♣-K♠).
Declaring: Once you arrange all 13 cards into valid sets/sequences (including at least one pure sequence), press "Declare" to win the round!
Winning & Scoring:
Points are calculated based on ungrouped cards in opponents’ hands (Ace=10, face cards=10, number cards=face value).
The player who declares first with zero ungrouped cards wins the game!
