How to Play Ace Rummy
Objective:
Be the first player to meld all your cards into valid sets (groups of the same rank) and sequences (consecutive cards of the same suit).
Setup:
Played with 1-2 standard decks (including Jokers as wild cards).
Each player gets 13 cards (10 cards in some variations).
The remaining cards form the draw pile, and one card is placed face-up to start the discard pile.
Gameplay:
Draw a Card – On your turn, pick a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile.
Meld Cards – Arrange your cards into:
Sets (3-4 cards of the same rank, e.g., 7♥, 7♦, 7♠)
Sequences (3+ consecutive cards of the same suit, e.g., 5♣, 6♣, 7♣)
Discard a Card – End your turn by placing one unwanted card on the discard pile.
Declare "Rummy!" – Once you’ve formed all your cards into valid sets/sequences, discard your final card and declare victory!
Wild Cards (Jokers):
Can substitute any card to complete a set or sequence.
Cannot be used in a pure sequence (a run without wild cards, required in some versions).
Winning:
The first player to meld all cards wins the round, earning points based on opponents’ unmelded cards. Play multiple rounds until a player reaches the target score (e.g., 150 points).
