TILE RUMMY FIELD NOTE 17
How to Teach Tile Rummy in 10 Minutes
A concise teaching sequence for new players, families and small community groups.

A concise teaching sequence for new players, families and small community groups.
Teach in layers
Minute one: state the goal. Minutes two and three: show a run and a group. Minute four: show an illegal example. Minutes five and six: sort a sample rack. Minutes seven and eight: practise one turn. Minutes nine and ten: explain the finish and begin.
A practical method
Delay advanced rearrangement until the first legal melds are comfortable. New players learn faster when the first round contains fewer exceptions.
Apply it at the table
Invite questions after each turn and keep corrections neutral: describe the structure, not the person.
Good Tile Rummy decisions are visible: every tile has one legal place, every rearrangement has a finished plan.
Practice and continue
