A complete rules foundation
Tile Rummy is a rack-and-meld strategy game. Players organise numbered tiles into legal runs of consecutive numbers in one colour or groups of the same number in different colours. The practical goal is to place every tile from your rack while keeping every table combination valid.
A practical method
Begin by sorting the rack by colour, then temporarily cluster equal numbers. This makes both run and group possibilities visible. Confirm the agreed initial-meld requirement before play and keep newly drawn tiles separated until the turn is complete.
Apply it at the table
Once you have opened, the shared table becomes a working puzzle. You may extend, split and reconnect existing combinations only when every tile belongs to a legal meld at the end of the turn. Move slowly and preserve a fallback plan.
Good Tile Rummy decisions are visible: every tile has one legal place, every rearrangement has a finished plan.
