Find bridge tiles
A bridge tile can complete one run while also matching a group. Its value is not the current meld alone, but the number of future legal structures it supports.
A practical method
Long runs are reservoirs of flexibility when they can be split without creating fragments. Three-tile groups with a missing colour are expandable; four-tile groups may release one colour when another legal home exists.
Apply it at the table
Advanced play is still built on basic validation. Complex moves fail when one final fragment has only two tiles.
Good Tile Rummy decisions are visible: every tile has one legal place, every rearrangement has a finished plan.
