TILE RUMMY FIELD NOTE 07
How to Rearrange the Shared Table Safely
Split, extend and reconnect table melds while keeping every intermediate plan accountable.

Plan before touching
Table rearrangement is the deepest part of Tile Rummy. Begin by describing the intended final structure in your head. Identify which existing meld supplies each borrowed tile and what remains behind.
A practical method
Use a three-check method: every run stays consecutive and single-colour; every group stays equal-number and colour-unique; every tile is used exactly once.
Apply it at the table
If a move has many steps, work backwards from the final meld. Do not rely on remembering loose tiles scattered across the table.
Good Tile Rummy decisions are visible: every tile has one legal place, every rearrangement has a finished plan.
